Department for International Trade (DIT) North West invites you to join this multi-sector trade mission to Panama with a particular focus on infrastructure, maritime, logistics, and education. The mission offers an ideal opportunity to explore your business potential in this exciting market in Latin America.

Panama is the 2nd most competitive economy in Latin America (World Economic Forum, 2016). It is the fastest growing economy in the region with annual average GDP growth of 8.4% during the last decade. Panama is the gateway into Latin America and more than 120 multinational companies have based their regional HQs in Panama, including Diageo, Unilever, Pole Star, GSK, Aggreko, JCB and Cable & Wireless. British interests account for 12.4% of FDI, making the UK the third largest investor.

DIT’s trade mission to Panama also coincides with Panama’s prestigious Panama Maritime World Conference and Exhibition, taking place in Panama City from 12-15 of March, 2017. DIT Panama has negotiated preferential rates for companies wishing to exhibit. The show offers a unique opportunity to meet international ship owners, operators, regulators and maritime auxiliary service providers.
